| HTML Skills Not Required to Help Web Staff By Maria Doyle Lane If youre one of the many would-be contributors who lives "too far away" to get involved with the CDAA, the new web site can help you change your ways. The web staff is looking for technical and nontechnical assistance from the membership. If HTML coding isnt your bag, rest assured that theres still plenty for you to do! Many of the web projects involve independent research, pure and simple. If you are willing to help flesh out content for existing links, the web staff can find a project that fits your schedule and your location. Individual projects can be made as large or small as you need them to be, and you have the advantage of six months before projects are due at the next CDAA meeting. For those internet-savvy programmers among us, you also can make a real contribution to the web site. The web staff needs a few people to take on independent technical projects to develop and implement new features. With each new feature added, the web site becomes more accessible and appealing to the CDAA membership. The web is becoming a key component of CDAA communications; your involvement will make a difference. Finally, for those of you who have great ideas but no time to spare, please offer your comments and suggestions freely. The web staff is eager to improve the site based on member suggestions. Post your ideas on the discussion board so that others can chime in with additional comments. A web site project is never truly complete, and www.cdalumni.org will need many volunteers as it continues to grow and expand. The web staff is eager to hear from long-distance volunteers with a few hours to spare. Contact Matt Lane at matt@laneweb.com if you have time to lend a hand. |
