Tomika Anderson (opinion columnist, 1996-‘98) is currently an assistant editor at Time Inc. (a division of AOL Time Warner—Time Magazine, Sports Illustrated, etc.) in New York City. By day, she helps create original publications (ie. special magazines and catalogs for Sony Music and Ford Motor Company). On a part-time basis, she is also a contracted writer for Entertainment Weekly and a freelancer for magazines like Vibe, The Source, Essence, XXL Magazine and BET.com. Unmarried but enjoying the singles’ dating scene, she currently resides in Brooklyn. Rick Hodges (news associate, 1984-’85) and Elenor McLean Hodges (CLAS 1990) announce the birth of their daughter, Audrey Rona, on Dec. 6, 2000. CD News Editor Marty Kady (1993) was set to fly out of Reagan National Airport on Sept. 11, to attend his own wedding in Gulf Shores, Ala. Then all hell broke loose and Marty and his now-wife Suz Redfearn ended up driving 18 hours to the wedding location. On Saturday, Sept. 15, Marty and Suz got married on the beach in Alabama, despite the fact that many guests were stranded around the country, unable to fly to the wedding. Nearly 80 guests still made it to the event. Marty is a technology reporter at the Washington Business Journal and lives in the Adams Morgan neighborhood of D.C. with his new wife, a freelance writer and humor columnist. They recently took a belated honeymoon to Jamaica—the trip was originally delayed, you guessed it, thanks to the terrorists. Sarah Lindenfeld (managing editor, 1995-‘96) and Chad Hall (business manager, 1995-‘96) married in Cazenovia, N.Y., on July 28, 2001, and traveled to Scandinavia for a honeymoon. Sarah is a reporter at The News & Observer in Raleigh, N.C. Chad is a software developer. They’ve lived in Cary, N.C., for nearly three years. The wedding party included Maggie Morrow (sports editor, 1995-‘96), Emily Green Hanlin (photo editor, 1995-‘96) and Dave Hanlin (editor-in-chief, 1994-‘95). Marcus Tonti (executive editor, 1991-’92) recently moved to Martha’s Vineyard to work as an editor for the Vineyard Gazette newspaper. CD Music Critic and Member of Editorial Board Teri Noel Towe (Law, 1973) is now a lawyer, of counsel, to Ganz & Hollinger, P.C. He invites alumi to visit his website, The Face Of Bach, at www.npj.com/thefaceofbach. |
